John Morris Scientific are pleased to introduce Sensistor’s Industrial Hydrogen Leak Detection System, the ILS500. The ILS500 is extremely sensitive and can detect leaks as small as 5 × 10-7 mbar × l/s, typically used for industrial pass and failing testing, the ILS500 can also locate the leaks with the help of manual hand probe.
An extremely safe tracer gas mixture consisting of 5% Hydrogen in a 95% Nitrogen gas is used to detect the leak. This is an alternative to Helium sniffing, soapy water, bubble or submerging tests. Hydrogen is quickly transported to the leaks and dissipates much faster than other gases after testing. Hydrogen is a renewable gas, environmentally sound, certified as a food additive and much cheaper than other gases for example Helium. Operation costs are typically 40% lower than comparable helium detection systems.
The ILS500 offers everything you need for qualified leak testing in production lines. It is equipped with computer capacity for tooling control, trace gas handling, test sequencing and leak testing – all controlled by an easy touch screen interface. To ensure short test cycle time and reliable operation, the ILS500 is fully integrated with a vacuum pump, a gas pressure regulator, a pressure sensor and a vacuum sensor. It is extremely compact, robust and easy to integrate into automated leak testing utilities.
The Leak Detection System ILS500 stores complete sets of parameters and system settings making your life easy, when different test objects are handled consecutively.
