Sigma's refrigerated high-speed desktop centrifuge, the 1-14K is suitable for sedimentation of micro-tube volumes between 0.2 ml and 2 ml. Although the 1-14K is the smallest in its class, it has a maximum capacity of 24 x 2ml microtubes and a maximum speed of 15,000 rpm or 16,602 xg.

The 1-14K has a rapid cooling system with an adjustable temperature range of -10oC to +40oC and uses environmentally friendly refrigerant R134a. Applications include microbiological, molecularbiological and medical research, as well as PCR/DNA analysis.

Sigma's high capacity, refrigerated centrifuge, the 8K contains a solid construction and is suitable for continuous use. With a capacity of up to 6 L in a fixed-angle rotor, and 12 x 1 L, 6 x 1.5 L or 12 blood bags in a swing-out rotor, this universal centrifuge is ideal for blood banks, clinical laboratories and high volume sedimentation applications.

 The 8K has a speed range of 100-10, 500rpm and generates high g-forces: in the 5 x 500ml fixed-angle rotor, a maximum of  20, 460 x g, or in swing-out rotor 6 x 1000ml a maximum of 8,578 x g.

The 8K has a powerful refrigeration function with an adjustable temperature range of -20oC to +40oC and standstill cooling with environmentaly friendly refrigerant R404a. The rotor drive is maintenance-free and has a high imbalance tolerance of up to approx 80g. Automatic rotor identification prevents spinning rotors from over speeding.

A special armoured chamber surrounding the rotor chamber, reinforced lid and lock system guarantees safe operation.

The 8K also features a user friendly control unit which can store up to 60 programs in memory all with run parameters. It incorporates an electronic imbalance monitoring system, a plain text display of information and error messages, as well as run time and cycles count for the rotors used.

The Sigma 3-18 and 3-18K high-speed benchtop centrifuges have maximum speeds of 16,000 and 18,000 rpm.

The aircooled 3-18 has a maximum capacity of 4 × 250 mL and is suitable for use in medical and research laboratories.

The refrigerated 3-18K can be used for tasks which require centrifugal forces up to 30,000g. The 3-18K enables rotor and chamber pre-cooling to 30oC and allows temperature control up to +40°C. Even at the highest speeds and during long runs, +4°C can be maintained.

Both models have 10 linear and 10 quatratic preprogrammed acceleration and deceleration curves as well as 50 storage places for additional programming needs. Important programs or functions can be PIN code protected.
