This innovate tool can be operated via a hand-held reader for fast and accurate spot readings or buried in the ground to track soil moisture changes over a period of time via a WatchDog data-logging weather station.

Seta Analytics’ new H2S Analyser provides rapid measurement of H2S in liquid petroleum products, including residual marine fuels, fuel oils and refinery feedstock components. H2S is removed from the test sample using a combination of heat and agitation, and is then measured using an advanced H2S specific detector system.

A small volume sample (i.e. between 1ml – 5ml) is dissolved into a specifically formulated diluent (volume 20ml). This is then heated, releasing H2S from the sample. Clean air is passed through the test vessel, removing any H2S gases into the sensor chamber where gas levels are measured and airflow through the sensor is monitored.  Sample analysis is fully automatic, and results are stored at the completion of each test.

Stanhope-Seta's new FAME In Jet Instrument, the FIJI uses test method IP 583 (AVTUR) to determine the parts per million (PPM or mg/kg) level of fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) in aviation turbine fuel.

The FIJI is ideal for both laboratory and field applications and doesn’t require any specialised operator training. It is quick and easy to use, has a measuring range of 20 -150 mg/kg and is capable of detecting all types of FAME in the range of C8 to C22.

The sample preparation module pumps the sample (max 50ml) at a controlled rate through a disposable cartridge, the components are then spectrally analysed via Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry (FTIS). The total analysis time equals 20 minutes (assuming the unit has already reached the operating temperature). Test results can be viewed on a graphical spectrum via windows XP/Vista/7 software.

Stanhope Seta have combined their innovative sample preparation system with Fourier Transform Infra-red (FTIR) spectroscopy technology to provide a detection accuracy as low as 20mg/kg. 

The Fiji is self cleaning and doesn’t require any solvents. The cartridge can be quickly and easily replaced after each test.

Stanhope-Seta’s New hand-held Conductivity Meter has been designed to measure the electrical conductivity of distillate fuels such as Jet-A1 to ASTM D1655 & ASTM D910.

The unit is provided in an industry standard ATEX approved polyamide housing, with a built in Lithium Ion rechargeable battery system. The conductivity sensor is constructed of two 316SS coaxial electrode sensors. It has a measurement range of 0 to 2000 picosiemens/meter (pS/M), although it is optimized and is usually used in the 0 to 500 pS/M range.

It has an easy to use menu system and allows users to store up to 10 sample data points internally along with the temperature date and time, this data can be viewed on the screen or transferred to a computer via USB. Software is also available for data analysis plotting and archiving.

The hand-held Conductivity Meter is also available with a CE marking

Flash Point Testing is important in determining the hazard classification of many substances including Flavours and Fragrances. Flash Point is the lowest temperature at which a liquid generates enough vapour to ignite when mixed with oxygen.

Stanhope Seta is pleased to introduce the new Series 8 Closed Cup Flash Point Tester, an updated version of the Series 7. The Series 8 has a temperature range from ambient to 300oC or -20°C to 130°C for the peltier cooled model. This new instrument has the option of either electric of gas ignition.

The Series 8 Flash Point Tester has a ‘ramp’ facility which automatically increases the temperature of the sample at a rate of 2°C/min until a flash is detected. The dipping sequence occurs automatically every 1°C up to 100°C and every 2°C above 100°C until either a flash is detected or the end of test temperature is reached. When the test is complete, the sample cup is cooled by forced air to reduce cycle time between tests.

The Series 8 features a colour LCD screen and soft key controls. Up to 64 results can be stored in memory and downloaded to a computer or printer.

John Morris Scientific is pleased to introduce the new laser based particle counter from Stanhope Seta. The AvCount is specifically designed for checking and maintaining the quality of Jet A1 Aviation Fuel throughout the distribution network from refinery to airport.

The new particle analyser is a rugged and portable instrument which uses a high precision laser measurement system capable of measuring particle sizes from 4 to 200 µm.

The AvCount is fast and simple to use and reduces the likelihood of error through automated functionality. Once a test is started the instrument automatically flushes the cell and runs the test with results displayed in 4 minutes.

Results conform to new Industry ISO rating cleanliness values and can be saved to memory for trend analysis of samples, printed out on the integral printer or downloaded to a PC.

The AvCount provides excellent performance and reliability for both on-site and laboratory applications and reduces operator involvement and the burden of training.
