John Morris Scientific is pleased to introduce the new Pulverisette 14 for fast size reduction of medium-hard to soft materials or even for dispersion and homogenisation of dry samples.
The centrifugal mill ensures gentle but fast processing due to 2-step grinding. First, material with a max size of 2 cm is pre-crushed on impact with the rotor blades at high speed. In the second run it is ground between the rotor and the sieve ring down to a size of 0.08 mm. Variable speed between 20,000 and 6,000 rpm combined with the strongest drive on the market automatically adjust speed to the load and ensure unmatched speed stability for best milling results.
The centrifugal mill is specially suited for grinding of temperature-sensitive materials such as grains, resins and fertilizers. The extremely high rotor speed enables fast and effective grinding, drastically reducing thermal stress on the grinding material. Samples that are difficult to grind, such as plastics, can be ground to analytical fineness after embrittlement with liquid nitrogen.
