The SMEC 300 has been designed to measure 3 key soil properties; moisture, EC, and temperature with little or no disturbance to the root zone.  The carbon ink EC electrodes provide a large conductive surface area.  The EC sensor can be calibrated with a simple, 1-step process. 

This innovate tool can be operated via a hand-held reader for fast and accurate spot readings or buried in the ground to track soil moisture changes over a period of time via a WatchDog data-logging weather station.
